Colombian Peace Fund


About Us

The Colombian peace fund is a non profit organization under title 501(c)-(3) of the United States IRS code, organized by Colombians and Colombian-Americans living in the United States. The purpose of the Foundation is to increase awareness of the Colombian humanitarian crisis brought about by the approximately 3 million internally displaced persons, as a result of years of internal conflict, and to raise funds for the benefit of those internally displaced families and communities in Colombia. The disbursement of funds will be through a competitive grant writing process with awards made to non-profit organizations that are actively providing services to those forcibly displaced victims of the armed conflict. Areas of emphasis in the awards process will be health services, education, work force development, and housing and shelter.
