About us

Virginia Tech's Master of Natural Resources (MNR) degree provides interdisciplinary graduate education for professionals interested in environmental conservation and sustainable development. We help professionals in business, government, and non-profit sectors gain knowledge, skills, and credentials required for career change and advancement, especially for new jobs emerging in an increasingly interconnected, urban, and global world. The MNR is a non-thesis degree offered via four distinct programs. Each MNR program requires 30 credits of coursework and at least one international experience. GRE scores are not required and there are no additional costs for out-of-state or international students.
