About Us

Patients and Health Professionals working together to enhance prevention, diagnosis and treatment of thrombosis and cardiovascular disease

The North American Thrombosis Forum's (NATF) mission is to focus on unmet needs and issues related to thrombosis and cardiovascular disease such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, and stroke. NATF's five areas of major focus are:

  • Education and Prevention
  • Public Policy
  • Clinical research, focusing on diagnosis and therapy
  • Basic translational research
  • Advocacy

Our vision is to improve patient care, outcomes, and public health by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to advance thrombosis research and education. NATF programs encourage collaboration among translational researcher, clinical researchers, healthcare professionals, policy makers and patients.
