About us

"Murray Grove exisits as a living memorial to the lives and the Universalist faith of John Murray and Thomas Potter.

Unitarian Universalists and friends and neighbors who seek to give the world hope and courage enliven the legacy of Universalism by promoting the union of faith, love, and action as inspired foundations of building beloved communities.

Therefore the policies, resources, and actions of the Murray Grove Association will result in a sustainable residential retreat and renewal center where guests experience respite from everyday stress, and gain strength and a deepened capacity for unconditional love and radical inclusion."

Murray Grove provides overnight group accommodations for up to 42 visitors. We regularly host congregational retreats (all religions), meditation groups, schools & youth groups, men's & women's groups, yoga groups, family reunions, conferences, workshops, and weddings.

Open year round, we offer a 20 acre campus, a large dining room that can seat up to 70, a comfortable Fireside Living Room, a large fully equipped kitchen, meeting spaces, labyrinth, outdoor salt water swimming pool, Ga Ga Pit (Israeli dodgeball), Screen House, athletic fields, and outdoor fire circle.

In the Spring of 2014 we will be opening a three season bunkhouse to host up to twenty-four volunteers for Hurricane Sandy. When space is available, we offer complimentary space to community organizations.

Located in the Pine Barrens of Southern NJ, we are 30 minutes from the Ocean, and 90 minutes from NYC and Philadelphia.
