About us

Buffalo for Survival is a regional satellite team for Cycle for Survival, a national, indoor cycling event. Buffalo for Survival has raised more than $10,000 since 2009 to support the fight against rare cancers, often times referred to as "orphan cancers." Rare cancers are not entirely rare. More than 50% of people with cancer have a rare form of the disease. Buffalo for Survival sponsors fundraising events for rare cancer research with the help of founding sponsor, The Buffalo Athletic Club.

Jennifer Goodman Linn, the founder of Cycle for Survival, passed away from soft-tissue sarcoma on July 20, 2011. Although Jennifer is not here physically, she has left behind a "fearless" legacy that we all will continue to use so that one day we can beat cancer for good!

Since its inception in 2007, Cycle for Survival has raised over $17.7 million dollars for rare cancer research and funded 53 clinical trials and research studies. Cycle's direct funding has drastically reduced the time it takes for treatments to reach patients — in some cases cutting the span from years to months.

No one beats cancer until we all beat it!
