Because of language and cultural differences, Limited English Proficient
(LEP) individuals and families are often delayed or denied equal access to
and participation in policies, programs, services, and benefits.
The National LEP Advocacy Task Force consists of nearly 300 stakeholder organizations and individuals that support state and federal laws, regulations, and policies that prohibit discrimination on the basis of national origin because of language and cultural differences.
Our mission is to take active steps through networking, collaboration,
information, education, and administrative and legal advocacy to encourage federal and state agencies, recipients of federal funds, public
accommodations providing essential services, and employers to comply with
the legal obligations to bridge language and cultural differences.
Membership in the National LEP Advocacy Task Force is restricted by the
group itself. The communications of this group may contain information that
is privileged attorney work product and confidential. The National LEP
Advocacy Task Force is restricted to stakeholders who actively support our mission. All persons, organizations,or/and agencies with a potential or apparent conflict of interest are not appropriate participants.
