The Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women is hosted by Governor Edward G. Rendell and the Pennsylvania Commission for Women. The Conference first opened its doors in 2004, and since then it has grown to attract more than 5,000 attendees and truly impact lives.
Now in its fifth year, the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women is a non-profit, non-partisan, one-day event that features more than 75 renowned speakers sharing inspirational stories and leading seminars on the issues that matter most to women, including health, personal finance, executive leadership, business and entrepreneurship, work/life balance, media, and more. The Conference offers incredible opportunities for business networking, professional development, and personal growth. The annual Conference alternates between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
The 2008 Conference will be the third year of the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women Scholarship Program, which partners with colleges and universities to award scholarships to qualifying women enrolled or accepted to institutions of higher education in Pennsylvania. Thanks to the generosity of participating schools, the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women Scholarship Program has awarded more than $400,000 in financial assistance to Pennsylvania women, bringing them one step closer to achieving their academic and professional goals.
