About Us

This is a site-based and in school mentoring program, in which volunteers are matched with youth in a supervised setting. The matches spend about an hour and a half together playing games, doing arts and crafts, working on school projects, or just hanging out and talking. It is up to you what you decide to do together. A minimum age of 18 years old and a one year commitment is required. You do not have to live in the following towns, but be willing to drive to them. In addition, the matches have group outings once a month. These include trips to the zoo, bowling, museums, sporting events, scavenger hunts, holiday parties, and more!

Our mentoring programs work! Our research has shown that positive relationships between youth and their mentors have a direct and measurable impact on children’s lives. By participating in our youth mentoring programs, youth are:

1) More confident in their school performance 2) Able to get along better with their families 3) 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs 4) 27% less likely to begin using alcohol 5) 52% less likely to skip school
