6 Points Sports Academy

Welcome to 6 Points Sports Academy! This is where young athletes are trained for life. We offer our campers intensive, high quality athletic instruction, and individual attention. Our athletes live state-of-the art facilities, under supervision of positive role models while learning life lessons on and off the playing fields in a Reform Jewish setting. Located in beautiful Greensboro, NC, 6 Points Sports Academy is housed on the 100 acre, state-of-the-art athletic and camp facilities of the American Hebrew Academy. At 6 Points, young Jewish athletes from all over North America will participate in a unique camping experience that offers top-level sports training and all the beloved traditions of Reform camping. Within this community, campers form friendships for life and achieve a higher quality of life as young Jewish athletes. 6 Points campers are athletes, ranging in age from 10-15, who are looking to improve their game, meet new friends and explore their own Jewish identity. During two weeks sessions, campers participate in intensive training in one chosen sport and select two electives for cross conditioning. For a well-rounded Reform Jewish Camp experience, campers also participate in traditional camp activities, while living among other athletes, learning sports and life skills from professional coaches and Jewish counselors. A summer at 6 Points is a sports-filled, Jewish values-infused camp experience unlike any other. Currently, there are 13 URJ camps throughout North America that serve more than 8000 campers each summer. Our beautiful campus-style setting is located in Greensboro, North Carolina, on the 100 acre home of the American Hebrew Academy. The site is home to state-of-the-art athletic facilities and a 22-acre lake. Campers live in air-conditioned dorm-style housing, with 16-20 campers (2-3 campers per room) and three in-residence counselors.

Professional Athletic Facilities include: • Double gymnasium • 8-lane indoor pool • 3-story high, indoor rock climbing wall • Fully equipped fitness center • Group exercise and dance studio • Racquetball court • 22-acre lake with boathouse • Baseball field with batting cage • Softball field • 6 Tennis courts • 2 multi-purpose fields • Soccer stadium with rubberized outdoor track All fields have lighting for evening play!

Sport Majors Each day, campers receive 4 hours of instruction in their chosen sport major: Boys & Girls Basketball Boys & Girls Soccer Boys & Girls Tennis Boys & Girls Swimming Boys Baseball Girls Lacrosse Girls Softball

Sport Electives Along with their sport major, each camper will choose two of the following activities for 2 hours of cross-training, conditioning and fun each day: • Fitness • Conditioning • Group exercise and nutrition classes • Flag football • Tennis • Kayaking • Sailing • Swimming • Volleyball

For a well-rounded summer experience, 6 Points blends sports activities with Reform Jewish summer camp programs. Campers will participate in campfires, song sessions, waterfront activities, evening socials, inner-camp athletic competition (Maccabiah Games), bunk songs & skits, and Shabbat celebrations.
