About us

Bat Conservation International's mission is to conserve the world's bats and their ecosystems in order to ensure a healthy planet. We are committed to:

Education: teaching people to understand and value bats as essential allies.

Conservation: protecting critical bat habitats and encouraging others to join our efforts.

Research: advancing scientific knowledge about bats, their conservation needs, and the ecosystems that rely on them.

Win-Win Solutions: relying on non-confrontational approaches that help both bats and people.

We understand that the needs of wildlife must be balanced with the needs of humans and that increasing populations, poverty, and agricultural practices must be considered in meeting our goals. We also believe that by safeguarding the future of bats and their habitats, we will help ensure the preservation of our planet's biodiversity, creating a healthier environment for both wildlife and people.
