About Us

RGI is a global non-profit organization that makes cutting edge research technologies and experts accessible to rare disease patients. By providing an expert network and an online crowdfunding mechanism, RGI helps families source, design, and fund personalized research projects in diseases not otherwise studied. Ultimately, RGI aims to expand on its current genome sequencing-focused approach to enable community funding to support whatever type of research is necessary to get closer to rare disease therapeutics.

Partnering with 18 of the top medical institutions, such as Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, and Stanford, and with international presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Malaysia, Australia, and others, RGI has been recognized and featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, BBC, TIME, and the Huffington Post. RGI's founder has been selected as a TED fellow and RGI has been featured at multiple TED and TEDx conferences, such as TED 2012 (Long Beach), TED Active 2014 (Whistler), TEDxMidWest, TEDxMidAtlantic, TEDxGatewayArch, TEDxTaipei, among others.
