About us

The Center for Interethnic Cooperation is a Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1997. The Center for Interethnic Cooperation is in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
The main mission of the organization is to spread the ideas of Tolerance and Democracy in Russian Society.
The CIC arranges projects devoted to
- struggle with Intolerance among Youngsters;
- promotion of the Idea of Gender Equality;
- to prophylaxis of conflict situations.
These projects are held in 25 RF regions and volunteers from all over the world take active part in realization of these projects. Volunteers from Germany, UK, Austria, Italy, Canada, Poland,Hungary and the USA have worked in the Center for Interethnic Cooperation. Projects of the Center for Interethnic Cooperation have been supported by the European Union, the Council of Europe, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of Great Britain, the British Council and the US Foundations MacArthur, Mott, the National Endowment for Democracy and IREX, as well as the United States Embassy, the Swiss Embassy, the UK Embassy, the German Embassy and the Swedish Embassy.
