    NSI 's current focus is in three areas

    1.Training and Employment generation for Wildlife tourism related activities in the Himalayan region. We strongly believe that training rural youth in these activities leads to better recognition and awareness of forest resources and ultimately their conservation

    2. Research-NSI also does intensive research on topics ranging from biodiversity to wildlife issues through a scientific and rigorous approach

    3. Outreach to schools and Communities-General communication outreaches and education to the younger generation
