About Us

The Sister Link matches community volunteers with expecting and newly delivered moms. These Links are three to six-month long relationships designed to support new moms in their transitions to motherhood and to empower them as they move toward achieving their goals for themselves and their families. A volunteer will visit her Linked mom at least once a week. Sometimes a volunteer provides support in the mom's home by holding the baby, giving mom time to sit down and think or shower. Other times, help cook meals, accompany moms to appointments, or sit and listen to provide encouragement and support. We at Sister Link believe that women are the perfect people to support other women, and that personal relationships are often more powerful than agencies and offices!

Sister Link also coordinates a Meals for Moms service, which provides a dinner for the families of new moms each day for the first two weeks after the baby arrives.
