About us

NALACC Mission

The National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC) was founded in 2004 by a small but committed group of Latino immigrant-led community based organizations. Our membership has since grown to more than forty organizations and networks across 14 states. NALACC's mission is to bring about a more equitable and sustainable way of life for Latin American immigrant communities in the U.S., in the context of an inclusive struggle for social, economic, racial and cultural justice in U.S. society. NALACC is also committed to working with partners abroad to bring about a just, equitable and sustainable way of life for peoples throughout Latin America.

NALACC is governed by its Assembly of members, which elects the Board of Directors, all immigrant community members who represent organizations and constituencies within the alliance. NALACC is managed by a small national staff out of office in Chicago.
