About Us

For over 30 years, the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco has provided legal and related social services to low-income individuals and families in San Francisco with the goal of helping clients make lasting, positive changes in their lives. We strive to enhance the income, self-sufficiency and general quality of life for poor and low-income residents of San Francisco primarily through the use of volunteer resources. Volunteer attorneys help people with a myriad of legal problems, including: eviction, divorce and child custody, public benefits application and appeal, consumer issues and homeless advocacy. Volunteer social service advocates, including psychologists, psychotherapists, family therapists, social workers, and housing advocates assist these same clients with case management, referrals to community resources, housing searches and mental health treatment.
