Global Peace Connect (GP Connect!) seeks to identify, connect, support, empower and celebrate social entrepreneurs' innovative solutions in communities throughout the world as they build a global culture of service.
GP Connect! takes on a community-based approach at addressing issues such as reducing extreme poverty, increasing effective education, reducing health threats; by working across several societal sectors to promote peace and development, and by building upon local cultures to enable them to connect people to peace through service.
GP will achieve this by linking innovative thinkers such as social entrepreneurs to community driven development and taking an unprecedented effort to scale up the contribution and role of social entrepreneurship in meeting these challenges through an online network of Social Entrepreneurs.
Gp Connect recognizes Social entrepreneurs can act as peace builders while using innovative approaches to bring people with common interests together and address common challenges. A fast and cost-effective method of achieving this is by use of social media to reach and build a global networld of social entrepreneurs.
