The Southwest Regional Mental Health Board, Inc. (SWRMHB) is a private, non-profit (501c3) organization mandated under state law to identify and plan for local mental health and addiction service needs in southern Fairfield County, and to monitor the array of publically funded mental health and addiction services. SWRMHB is a grassroots organization that responds to citizen and taxpayer priorities and concerns: our membership includes municipal appointees, providers of mental health and addiction services, consumers of these services and their family members and other interested citizens. SWRMHB serves 14 towns and cities, including Stamford, Bridgeport, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, New Canaan, Monroe, Norwalk, Stratford, Trumbull, Westport, Weston, and Wilton.
The mission of Southwest Regional Mental Health Board, Inc. is to ensure a quality system of culturally-competent, comprehensive, recovery-oriented mental health and addiction services that enhance the quality of life and well-being of all residents of Southwestern Connecticut.
