To provide: Safe supportive shelter for homeless/battered women and children; Culturally sensitive non-biased programs toward breaking the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness which, if unchecked, is passed from one generation to the next; Advocacy for legal, social service, and housing needs and entitlements; Direction, referral/support in efforts toward developing self-sufficient lifestyles and skills; An environment for healing and growing for both mothers and children who have been victims of domestic violence, poverty, and homelessness; Opportunities for job training/jobs; Counseling and workshops in developing positive productive attitudes, self-esteem, parenting skills, stress management, improved communication skills; A cooperative environment for peaceful/supportive community living; Assistance in finding transitional and permanent housing; Quality child care; Outreach programs to address issues of domestic violence, homelessness and poverty in the community.
