Houston Graduate School of Theology

The mission of HGST is the educational, spiritual and vocational development of men and women to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to educate men and women to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, being equipped with the knowledge of God's Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We accomplish this mission through development of (a) the intellectual life of thought - study and research in Biblical and theological disciplines, (b) the inner life of devotion - spiritual growth and formation, and the outer life of service - preparation in preaching, pastoral, and other Christian vocational and service skills. Students from diverse backgrounds and identities are developed in ministry for the church and its ministries throughout the world.
