Dance Roots Foundation (DRF) aims to be a basis for learning and understanding the dance and music of the African Diaspora. The purpose of Dance Roots Foundation is to promote and inform the public about the dance, music, art, and culture of the African Diaspora through the performing arts and through the use of new media technology. Dance Roots is primarily a dance and music epicenter, but the intention is to bring the student into a deeper understanding and appreciation of the dance and music of African origin through an informed, live experience.
