Invest in Youth

Invest in Youth exists to enhance the academic abilities, self-confidence and life prospects of struggling learners in the Seattle Public Schools.

Invest in Youth fulfills its mission by pairing third through fifth grade students with volunteer tutors. Unlike many other tutoring programs available in the Seattle Public Schools, Invest in Youth matches each volunteer tutor with a single student for the entire school year. This arrangement fosters a truly meaningful tutor-student relationship as the pair spends time identifying the student’s strengths and weaknesses and tracking progress from week to week. It is an extremely rewarding experience for both students and their tutors!
