About Us

Catholic Charities Child Care Divison is one of 30 programs operated by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver, In,., which has served Coloradans in need since 1927. The Child Care Divison cares for approximately 600 low-income children and their parents at four child care and six Head Start centers in Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley and Edwards. In the fall, two new child care centers will open in Greeley and northwest Denver. The mission of the Child Care Division is to promote child and family development through a partnership which involves parents, children, staff and community. Among the 219 Head Start children served during the 1998-1999 school year, only 50 of the families earned more than $15,000 annually and 157 were from one-parent households. Nine out of 10 of the children were Hispanic.
