Excel Public Charter School

Excel is what one may call a “second generation” charter school – one designed to address the challenges and learn from the experiences of pioneering charter organizations like KIPP that have successfully sent high percentages of at-risk students to college. Moreover, we are committed to improving upon “what works” in schools around the country, with the ultimate goal of finding a sustainable school model that can operate at scale in Washington State. Our mission is to provide an academically-rigorous, STEM-focused, college preparatory educational program that will prepare all students for both college and career, and to empower our students to become agents of change within their communities through character development and culturally-responsive pedagogy.
