The New York City Mental Health Film Festival is sponsored by Community Access & NYAPRS. Our 9th Annual Film Festival is slated for Sunday May 5, 2013 from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm.
For 9 years, the NYC Mental Health Film Festival brings to downtown Brooklyn a vivid selection of thought-provoking films that positively portray the mental health community.
This annual 1 day event brings together film buffs and mental health recipients for an entire day of independent films about mental health in an effort to defeat stigma.
Known for our discussions between film makers and the mental health community, as much as for the independent mental health films we show.
The NYC Mental Health Film Festival is open to the public for a small admission fee to cover cost of day, usually around $5 dollars. Admission covers all day of films, breakfast, lunch and discussions with film makers.
This year our focus will be highlighting mental health recipients who have excelled in life.
The 9th Annual NYC Mental Health Film Festival will take place on Sunday May 5, 2013 at St Francis College, 182 Remsen Street, Brooklyn, N.Y.
