About us

Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc. (OT) is dedicated to promoting the success of women in the trades through education, leadership and mentorship. OT was founded on the principles that women deserve and can attain economic self-sufficiency, freedom from gender-based discrimination in non-traditional workplaces, and equal consideration in labor policymaking. The organization's three programs address economic justice, workforce development and policy advocacy for women: Portland Pathways to Success educates low-income women 18 and older about training and careers in the skilled craft trades; Building Girls helps girls in middle school and high school develop themselves to succeed in challenging nontraditional careers; and Tradeswomen Organzied for Outreach Leadership and Support (TOOLS) provides ongoing support for active tradeswomen.
