Literacy* AmeriCorps is focused on helping to improve literacy levels throughout the Greater New Orleans area. In conjunction with the Corporation for National and Community Service and our local partner the Literacy Alliance of Greater New Orleans, we place AmeriCorps members at literacy programs throughout the area. These members complete an 11-month term of service helping to tutor and teach in ESL, GED, ABE, Family Literacy and Youth/Children's literacy programs.
