Baltimore Home for Good

About Us

Baltimore City, along with other cities and states across the country, is mobilizing to end homelessness. One of the many ways that mobilization is occurring is the Home for Good campaign’s “75 Journeys Home” initiative. The Home for Good campaign consists of a coalition of government agencies, community providers, city residents and persons with direct experience with homelessness coming together to create a plan to house at least 75 of the city’s most vulnerable homeless individuals and families.

During the week of January 27, 2013, the Campaign’s Registry Week will take place. During the early morning hours, for three consecutive days, the same volunteers will visit neighborhoods, hospitals and locations frequented by the homeless population to: 1) conduct a detailed census of Baltimore City’s homeless population, and 2) provide outreach and immediate linkages to housing and other gravely needed support services.

How can you help? We need committed volunteers from all walks of life. We especially need people to volunteer and commit to outreaching to the homeless for three consecutive days, January 28, 29, and 30 from 4am – 6am.

If you can’t commit to all three days, we still need you! Please take a look at the other volunteer opportunities listed on the sign-up form (link below). Most volunteers will need to attend a short training prior to the event.

The coalition, the campaign and the citizens who are homeless in Baltimore City need you. Please join the movement and change a life!
