About Us
The Piedmont Rape Crisis Center in Winder, GA, is the sole resource of all sexual violence related matters for adults (ages 18+) in Barrow, Jackson, and Banks Counties.
The staff and volunteers of PRCC respect the uniqueness of each survivor’s experience and path to healing. Consequently, we work from a holistic approach model to empower each survivor to discover the ongoing areas in which she/he needs help.
We also realize that the effects of sexual assault are long lasting and ongoing. Many survivors we work with come to us years after an assault, so our support is given whether an assault just occurred or occurred some time ago.
In addition to providing client assistance, PRCC staff and volunteers provide a number of services including: 24/7 Crisis Hotline, Forensic Medical Accompaniment, Information and Referral, Legal Advocacy, Family Support, Counseling Assistance, Community Education & Outreach, Professional Training & Volunteer Opportunities
