Description

Transmission Completedis the non-profit arm of Aisha Cousins' art studio. Its mission is to bring culturally relevant, museum quality, public art projects to predominantly black neighborhoods. Recent projects include:

This free public art exhibition introduced over 3,300 viewers in Bedford-Stuyvesant (Brooklyn, NY) to the history of African political fabrics

This live art project uses skirts made of African political fabrics to document how black women from US families feel about having their 1st black president and to pass their stories on to future generations.

- www.SAYITLOUDGuide.wordpress.com

Currently under construction, this free online guide will show educator how to use SAY IT LOUD! Performance Art scores for the Young, Gifted and Fabulous in their schools and community orgs. SAY IT LOUD! is a set of inexpensive do-it-yourself art projects designed for black youth whose schools have lost visual art funding.
