About Us

Firehouse Theatre is an artistic home, a thriving hub of creative activity, and a center for community engagement where new performance work is developed and produced.

In 1993 Fire Department’s Station House #10 was being decommissioned at the same time that five theatre artists – Bill Gordon, Anna Senechal Johnson, Harry Kollatz, Jr., Carol Piersol, and Janet Wilson – were looking for a space to put on a show.

Since then, Firehouse  has premiered new plays, created and encouraged new work, hosted emerging and established artists from many disciplines, and  has earned a reputation as a center for cutting-edge performance.
