About Us

Save our Seabirds, Inc is a non-profit organization located on City Island in Sarasota, FL. Founded in 1990 by Executive Director, Lee Fox, our facility re-opened in November 2008 on the site of the former Pelican Man Bird Sanctuary.

The mission of Save Our Seabirds is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release injured birds, educate the public regarding the adverse impacts of humankind on wild birds, provide Oiled Wildlife Response and Training, and develop and maintain a unique Surrogate Parenting program.
