About us

Save our Seabirds, Inc is a non-profit organization located on City Island in Sarasota, FL. Founded in 1990 by Executive Director, Lee Fox, our facility re-opened in November 2008 on the site of the former Pelican Man Bird Sanctuary.

The mission of Save Our Seabirds is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release injured birds, educate the public regarding the
adverse impacts of humankind on wild birds, provide Oiled Wildlife Response and Training, and develop and maintain
a unique Surrogate Parenting program.

Thank you to the valued donors who make fulfillment of our mission possible. If you would like to volunteer some time to SOS, please click on the volunteer tab for information or contact us at 941-388-3010.
