Include Autism

The mission of Include Autism is to provide a multifaceted approach to community-wide autism inclusion, offering progressive integrated programs and applied learning experiences for individuals of all abilities.

The CDC reports that 1 in 68 American children have autism. This staggering number calls attention to the fact that, as a society, we need to do more to ensure this large portion of our population is given the opportunity to thrive as active and included members of the community. Therapy for individuals with the diagnosis alone won’t accomplish this. We also need to teach members of the community about autism and ways to include individuals with autism in all aspects of community life.

Include Autism still operates the successful Community Coaching program, but it also provides wide-reaching autism outreach and education programs that instill autism inclusion throughout the community. While Community Coaching Center had in the past operated primarily as a provider of community-based social behavior therapy for youth with autism, we have found ourselves rising up to do more to meet the growing needs of the autism community. To better express the scope of work we now encompass, we have become Include Autism – a nonprofit organization that provides a comprehensive approach to ensuring that individuals with autism are fully included in the community.
