About us

Since 1910, the Municipal League of King County has been a voluntary civic organization dedicated to effective and responsive government.

Founded in 1971, the Municipal League Foundation serves as the education and research arm of the Municipal League of King County. The Foundation works in collaboration with the Municipal League of King County in a shared mission to build stronger communities by linking people to the local governments that serve them. The Foundation seeks to ensure that the public is informed on matters of community interest and encourages the development of civic participation and leadership in King County.

The Municipal League of King County and the Municipal League Foundation share a common mission:

"To promote good government that is open, effective and accountable in order to improve the caliber of public officials and the quality of public decisions, and to assist our community to identify and efficiently solve its problems and reach its goals through active and broad-based participation of citizens in government."
