Who we are

PartnerAid exists to help communities to fight poverty and to improve the general living conditions in developing countries. We are an organisation for development cooperation and development orientated relief. Our mission is to partner with disadvantaged communities, empowering them to implement relief and development projects, recognising culture as a key to their sustainability. PartnerAid supports or directly implements projects with a community focus in less developed countries and regions suffering from complex emergencies.

Besides supporting communities through projects and partnerships, we are active in education and training for transformational development, and creating public awareness for communities in poverty.

The vision of PartnerAid is to see communities of people in the least developed countries, able to access the resources they need to live life free from poverty.

Our History

PartnerAid was first established in 1991 in Switzerland and in 1992 in the UK by Christians, who were determined to make an active contribution to overcome poverty in the countries of South- and Central Asia. Today PartnerAid works in more than 10 countries, mainly in Afrika and Asia. The international office is located in Neu-Anspach close to Frankfurt, Germany. Other PartnerAid offices are located in the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, and the US.
