About Us

Christ Church is an active Episcopal parish founded in 1695. The campus also includes the Christ Church Burial Ground, the final resting place of Benjamin Franklin and other notable people and Neighborhood House, which houses administrative offices as well as community space.

The mission of the Christ Church Preservation Trust is twofold: to preserve the buildings and archives entrusted to us for future generations and to share the history of our site and its importance in American History.

The Trust raises funds to restore, protect and maintain the physical property of Christ Church, Neighborhood House and its Burial Ground and works to support ongoing use and renovation of the historic Christ Church physical space in such a way that the architectural integrity is maintained and that it serves contemporary needs.

The tourism program of the Trust interprets and shares the history of Christ Church in such a way that visitors understand the role that Christ Church played in American history.
