Ronald Edmonds Learning Center II

About Us

Ronald Edmonds Learning Centers are named after the founder of the effective schools movement who championed the belief that all students can learn at high levels regardless of their socio-economic background.

Ronald Edmonds Learning Center II is a small middle school which opened in the fall of 2006. We currently serve 130 students in grades 6 - 7 and will add grade 8 next year. Our mission is to prepare urban students to gain admission to and succeed in New York’s top high schools as a step toward admission to four year colleges or universities.

Our programs and curriculum are designed to meet students’ diverse needs and cultivate their talents and interests.

Staff members of Ronald Edmonds Learning Center II believe that all children can achieve at high levels and that it is the responsibility of adults to make sure that they do so.
