Description

Fenwick High School is a coeducational Catholic college prepatory high school located in Oak Park, Illinois. Since its founding in 1929, Fenwick has cultivated in its faculty, students and their families a strong feeling of tradition, pride and excellence. Founded as an all-male school, Fenwick began admitting women in 1992. Fenwick has been recognized as one of the nation's exemplary secondary schools by the Department of Education and was named by U.S. News and World Report as one of the nation's outstanding high schools.

Fenwick attracts a diverse student popluation from over 150 elementary and junior high schools and over 60 municipalities in the Chicago metropolitan area. The 2011/2012 enrollment included an 18% minority poplulation and the freshman class included 25% students of color. To promote socioeconomic diversity, Fenwick provides over $1.2 million in need-based financial aid each year.
