Dharma Companions

Dharma Companions is an ecumenical Buddhist group that offers ways for inmates to find peace with themselves and others. Through meditation and contemplation, the study of Buddhist writings, and correspondence, we help people explore the ideas of connection, compassion, and choice, offering support as inmates grow and learn.

The group does not seek to recruit or convert inmates, but rather to answer questions and provide support for people already interested in Buddhist practice. In addition to information about Buddhism, Dharma Companions also helps connect prisoners to book and education programs, and provides information about prison to family members and the public.
