About Us

The Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, Inc. works with community partners to preserve and promote the historical, cultural, natural, and recreational resources of the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor for current and future generations. The National Heritage Corridor is comprised of 25 cities and towns celebrating industrial history, immigration, and environmental recovery throughout the Blackstone River watershed. BHC partners with residents, local communities organizations and businesses to ensure the long term vitality of the National Heritage Corridor.

Blackstone Heritage Corridor also works closely with the new Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park providing services throughout the Corridor to complement the work of the National Park Service by offering dynamic programs that support economic development and tourism; conservation; recreation; community planning and revitalization; and historical and environmental education and interpretation.
