About us

Located in the heart of Washington, DC since 1821, the George Washington University is an international community of policy makers, artists, economists, business leaders, and scientists.   By focusing on social, economic, political, and technological issues and innovations, our 200 graduate programs blend theory and real-world experience to help students transform their ambition into action.

GW attracts over 14,500 graduate students from 115 countries.  They chose GW because the University is a place where ideas are exchanged, diversity is valued, and leaders are made.
