About Us

Established in 1985, the School of Public Health at the University at Albany is known nationally for its unique partnership with the New York State Department of Health, strong commitment to preparing graduates through experiential learning, and the advantages students and faculty gain from its location in New York's diverse capital city.

Students may earn a practice or research based degree in biomedical sciences, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, behavioral sciences, or public health practice. A fully-online MPH is also available, as well as graduate certificates in public health, global health, health disparities, surveillance and preparedness, and maternal and child health.

Talented students come to the University at Albany School of Public Health to complete the most extensive practice-based public health internship program in the nation, which provides in-depth training and results in well-prepared graduates for the workforce.
