About Us

AICS Alaska Crossings offers multi-week wilderness behavioral health programs for at-risk youth ages 12 – 18. Based out of Wrangell, Alaska, our programs take place in the Tongass National Forest, along the Stikine River and in Mount Edziza Provincial Park in British Columbia. Wilderness expeditions serve as the framework for our skills-based programs. A typical program experience in comprised of three expeditions: canoeing on the ocean, river paddling, and mountaineering. Each group is led by highly trained field guides who mentor and build positive relationships with participants as they learn to access personal strengths and abilities. This leads participants to develop and understand the skills and assets they possess to ultimate be successful in their everyday lives. Alaska Crossings has been serving youth since 2001.
