Founded in 1968, the Sierra State Parks Foundation is dedicated to the ongoing support of education, interpretation, restoration, and preservation in the Sierra District of California State Parks, including: Donner Memorial State Park, Sugar Pine Point State Park, D.L. Bliss State Park, Emerald Bay State Park, Tahoe State Recreation Area, Grover Hot Springs State Park, Bodie State Historical Park and Mono Lake State Tufa Reserve.
