About us

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Brattleboro is to enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We envision a day when all local young people have a place to go after school where they feel connected to strong adult role models, have their basic needs met for shelter, nutrition, and safety, and feel accepted for their own unique identities.

We provide a supervised and positive environment for young people ages 6-19 at three sites: 17 Flat Street (our main clubhouse), the Westgate Community Center in West Brattleboro (a subsidized housing community), and our facility at 12 Church Street in Bellows Falls. Our organization currently has over 1,100 youth members and serves over 2,500 young people who are not members but access our programs. We are the largest provider of youth programs in services in southern Vermont outside of the public school system.
