2-1-1 is a three digit number that provides 24 hour community information and referral services to people in need of food, shelter, job resources, healthcare, childcare and other vital community serivces. Trained informaton and referral specialists assess callers' needs and direct them to the appropriate health ,human and community services and resources, using a statewide database of over 40,000 community resources.
