The Mountain View Los Altos High School Foundation (MVLAF) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 foundation dedicated to sustaining extraordinary public education in the Mountain View/Los Altos High School District (MVLA). For the school year 2009-2010 MVLA donated $700,000 to the Mountain View Los Altos High School District. The foundation plans to donate $850,000 for the 2010/2011 school year. MVLAF serves a school district of two comprehensive high schools and more than 3,000 students. MVLAF engages parents, public officials and the broader community in providing supplementary financial support for the Mountain View/Los Altos High School District to fund programs and infrastructure ranging from class size reduction to classroom technology.
