OWLL is writing new configuration of performing arts in a multimedia verbatim play based on the stories of mothers who are exoffenders .

Description

OWLL is a transformational "verbatim theatre " organization. Our mission is to advance the advocacy and leadership skills for women who have been incarcerated by bringing them together as part of an ensemble in a new configuration of art as a collective experience . OWLL's productions are developed in workshops with the women who are re-entering from prison slong with the different artists . OWLL 's work has performed by professional theatre companies, universities, and community agencies and provides a platform for public dialogue about prison reform.
