P.W. Enhancement Center

About Us

The P.W. Enhancement Center (PWEC) is a 501(c) non-profit organization operating a comprehensive program, which includes emergency rental assistance, motel vouchers, a food bank, substance abuse counseling, resource referrals, employment assistance, a computer lab, life skills training, and financial planning to help ease the difficult transition from homelessness to independence.

The PWEC is currently the only organization offering these supportive services to the homeless population of Moreno Valley. Moreno Valley presently has no emergency shelters or transitional housing and very few affordable housing units, which means that those that are homeless, in transition, or low-income must rely on the services in neighboring cities. The PWEC was created in order to provide services that specifically address the needs of our community.

The goal of the center is to move men and women from homelessness to self-sufficiency. The center often commonly provides services to men and women dealing with dual diagnosis of mental illness and substance abuse. Staff provides support moving toward economic self-sufficiency, job placement, and permanent housing. The center provides supportive services while these men and women stabilize and acquire the skills needed for independent living.
