About us

Casa de la Mujer is an Bolivian non-profit NGO based in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in Eastern Bolivia, whose specific goals are to empower ourselves as women, in coordination with the organizations and movements of civil society to exercise our rights and respect of diversity citizenships, reaching gender equity in the framework of the Plurinational State. Casa de la Mujer opened its doors in 1990 to contribute to the creation of an autonomous and democratic space for women, where aspects of class, ethnicity, gender and generation are coherently integrated to contribute to develop a society with new human values recognizing dignity and women's rights.

Our vision is to be a leading institution in the intervention, prevention, and impact on public policy that contribute to the construction of diverse citizenships and the eradication of violence against women in the context of gender equity and justice.
